Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information FaithStash collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), and optional profile details such as a bio and avatar.

Content and activity: insights, journal entries, prayer requests, comments, group posts, saved ("stashed") items, reading progress, and Bible Games scores you create or generate while using the Service.

Preferences: notification settings, your chosen daily reminder time, theme, and Bible translation preference.

Payment and plan information: your current subscription plan and billing status. We do not store full payment card details ourselves — those are handled by our payment provider, where connected.

Technical information: IP address, browser type, and basic usage logs, used for security (e.g. rate limiting, audit logs) and to keep the Service reliable.

2. How we use your information

• To provide and personalize the Service — your feed, reading progress, and reminders.
• To send transactional and, where you opt in, reminder emails (daily devotional, reading plan, daily reminder, and similar notifications). You can manage these anytime in Settings → Notifications.
• To moderate community content and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To provide customer support, including through our support form and, where you initiate it, WhatsApp chat.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and keep an audit trail of administrative actions.

3. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only: with service providers who help us run the Service (such as email delivery and, where configured, payment processing) under appropriate confidentiality obligations; when you choose to use a third-party integration (for example, opening a group's Telegram live-call link, or messaging support via WhatsApp — those platforms then process what you share with them under their own privacy policies); or where required by law.

4. Content visibility

Some content you create is public by design — for example, published insights, public profile information (if you enable it), and comments in community spaces. Journal entries, prayer requests marked private, and scripture memory progress are private to your account unless you choose to share them.

5. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate administrative purposes (such as audit logs).

6. Your choices

• Update your profile and notification preferences anytime in Settings.
• Turn off the WhatsApp chat bubble by simply not using it — it is entirely optional and no chat data is stored by us; messages go directly to WhatsApp.
• Contact Support to request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including password hashing, CSRF protection, and rate limiting — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
